The Keene Memorial Library expansion project is being led by the Friends of Keene Memorial Library in a partnership with the City of Fremont, Rainwood Development Partners, Spangenberg Phillips Tice Architects, and MCL Construction. Community volunteers have been involved in the project since 2019.
Contributions for the project are being handled through an account at the Fremont Area Community Foundation. There are several ways to make a contribution:
- Fill out the pledge form (Keene Memorial Library Grow With Us Pledge Form).
- Write a check payable to the Fremont Area Community Foundation. Make sure to put “Library Expansion” in the memo. You can mail it to the Keene Memorial Library (1030 N Broad St, Fremont NE 68025) addressed to Laura England-Biggs.
- You can also make online payments to the Fremont Area Community Foundation at https://www.facfoundation.org/keenememoriallibrary.html.
- Tours or individual conversations may be available through Laura England-Biggs, Library Director. If you have questions or want to talk to someone about the project and your contribution, please call:

Naming Opportunities are available now. We plan to have a donor recognition wall in the entrance of the new library. In addition, several rooms and design elements throughout the library will recognize individuals, companies and families who have helped make the expansion happen. There will be opportunities at various levels of giving.
